But for you, O Lord, do I wait; it is you, O Lord my God, who
will answer. Psalm 38:15
Wait! But not passively, which amounts to nothing more than
laziness. Instead, wait while you keep on going…even though the
path is hard and the pace is slow. That is patient waiting.
As you wait, be hopeful: have courage of heart, wait expectantly,
and wait knowing the Lord will answer. This type of waiting does
require a paradigm shift - where you take your eyes off yourself
and place your focus totally on Him.
And remember…God's answers come in many ways. He will often lead
you to the response He has for you. It may be through your own
investigation into His Word, through wisdom and guidance from
godly counselors, through shifting circumstances, or by that
still small voice directed from His Spirit to yours. But be
assured, as David was, that God will answer.
