What Thrills Your Soul?

November 8, 2010
All that thrills my soul is Jesus / He is
more than life to me.
Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will
praise you. Psalm 63:3

Eighteen-year-old Aimee peered out the plane window, excited
about her first flight. As she contemplated a summer in Wyoming
with her sister, she mulled over the words of a hymn that had
been bothering her. All that thrills my soul is Jesus / He is
more than life to me. She got excited about many things - boys,
cars, this summer trip - but though she regularly attended
church, Jesus didn't thrill her soul.

Over the next three months in Wyoming, Aimee read several
chapters in the Bible each day and became involved in a ministry,
surrounding herself with Christian friends. The love of Jesus
became so real to her that on the plane ride home she quietly
sang the old hymn with renewed confidence.

For what would you rather die than do without? David said for him
it was God's love. What about Him excites you? If you can't
honestly say, set aside some time to pray and read Scripture,
asking Him to reveal Himself to you in a new way. Then intercede
that the country's leaders would turn from outward religion to a
real change of heart, relationship with Christ, and fellowship in
God's family of believers.

Graceful Restoration

September 17, 2010

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and this grace to me was
not without effect. I Corinthians 15:10

The old automobile had been restored and looked showroom new. It
had not been easy…pounding, sanding, painting, waxing,
polishing…and if the scrutineer looked too closely, he would see
that there were still some unfinished parts.

The apostle Paul, looking back over his life and assessing who he
had been and the differences that had been wrought, knew that the
only one Source for that han...

Giving and being faithful

August 31, 2010
Unless you lived in Hattiesburg, Mississippi and she was doing
your laundry, you'd never know she existed. Her name was Oseola
McCarty - a simple African-American woman who made a meager
living washing clothes and ironing for a few dollars a job. She
dropped out of school in sixth grade to care for an ailing aunt
and never had the opportunity to go back.
This story humbled me today may it be an inspiration to you also.
For 75 years, she
worked hard…living frugally, reading her Bible every mor...

Pure joy

August 31, 2010

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of
many kinds. James 1:2

No one prays for trials, problems or crosses to bear. Life just
has a way of serving them up whether you ask for them or not. And
despite the heartache, God promises to make your loss something
valuable. No trial is considered a waste in the eyes of the Lord.
In fact, it is the primary element He uses in this world to make
His presence known.

leaping for joy

August 20, 2010
Still thinking on JOY and trusting for a peaceful day and leaping for Joy :)

Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. John
16:24
The door of the aircraft gapes open, and the stiff wind buffets
your body. You look out at the firm ground far below, and you're
suddenly gripped with fear. It's only when your parachute
instructor takes your hand do you begin to believe you, a
skydiving novice, can actually achieve this daring feat.

It can be just as scary to ask for God's will to be p...

Turning Toward Joy

August 12, 2010

Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Nehemiah
8:10

Have you ever noticed how children, after being disciplined, have
a natural tendency to quickly return to the joy of being a kid,
ready to re-enter the carefree hours of fun and imagination? Why
is it that adults seem to have lost this ability? This was the
problem the Israelites encountered after they recognized the
discipline of the Word of God in their rebellious hearts. They
grieved over their sin to the point of losing...

Precious things

July 29, 2010
It's a wonderful life!

How blessed we are to have a God who cares so much for us. He has gone out of his way to put extra-special things in our lives from day to day to remind us of how fond he is of us. Yes, we are the apple of his eye!
He has given us unconditional love, forgiveness, security, etc. But, once again, I want to remind us of the simple things he has given us. These things also show his love for us. For instance, the tiny butterfly fluttering in the summer breeze, or fluff...

The begining of "The voice of Truth Minitries "

Isabel I live in Oxdrift my passion is the word of God and Bible studies. I love to encourage others to read the Bible and to share their personal testimony. I first started to read my Bible (which was a gift from a friend) back in 1982. After several weeks of reading this precious book I became aware how real the people were and I started to became more and more fascinated about the wonderful living scenes, their personalities and their lives were so real that I couldn't put my Bible down. The more I read the more I felt real freedom in my life, wonderful things unfolded day by day such as healings, miracles and magnificent experiences. First time in my life fear disappear, my kidneys were totally healed, peace and joy flooded my life. In April 15, 2003, after seeking and praying for several weeks I met our precious saviour who baptized me with His presence, fire fall on me it touched the top of my head and ever so gently travel through my body and left at the end of my toes, this was such a phenomenal experience that my life was for ever change. Jesus became my passionate friend who has never fail me, He has always been there for me through all these years. Recently He call me to start "The voice of Truth Minitries" I love to share my passion for the work of God with friends and I am thankful for those who stand with me to make this Ministry a reality.
