Offer right sacrifices, and put your trust in the Lord. Psalm 4:5
Living a godly life – offering right sacrifices – in the present
world is not easy. Satan makes available so many deceptively
pleasurable things that it is sometimes difficult to distinguish
good from evil. Equally disheartening to God’s children are
people who mock and viciously ridicule those who believe in Jesus
as their Savior.
Jude speaks in Scripture of the ungodly and God’s pending
judgment upon them for their actions and their words against Him.
But Jude also encourages you to maintain your life with God. “But
you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith; pray
in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting
for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal
life.” (Jude 20-21)
Believer, know that the Lord has set you apart for Himself. You
are to be transformed so that you can discern His will…what is
good, acceptable and perfect. As His precious, godly child He
hears you when you call to Him. Trusting Him, you can experience
joy in your heart and peace in your sleep (Psalm 4:3, 7-8)
