Fight the good fight to win the race...it is worse the fight!!
Romans 8:14-17; 37-39
For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
We are heirs only if we are born again of the water and of the spirit (Acts 2:38) and then follow after the spirit. Follow after God's Spirit means to pray, read and apply God's word in our lives, this is a must regardless of our feelings or circumstances or situations in life. Our life must be overcome with prayer and by the power of God's word, if we don't overcome, we will not be led by the spirit, but we will be led by our flesh and lustful desires which in turn will separate us from God; condemn us and we lose out with God, that's why many Christian lose out because they don't fight and let everything else control their lives (some believe once you saved you are always saved…guess again, we are accountable for every thought, word or deed). We need to diligently fight to keep up our spiritual walk or we lose out with God. Faith alone is not enough, we have to exercise our spiritual muscle and apply the principal of the word of God in our lives daily and when we do Jesus cheers us on. It is hard work, takes delegacy, discipline and perseverance and it is not always easy but it is a must so we can make heaven our home, amen.
Nothing can separate us from God, except ourselves or the things we let role over us.
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
