Precious things

Posted by IsabeJames on Thursday, July 29, 2010,
It's a wonderful life!

How blessed we are to have a God who cares so much for us. He has gone out of his way to put extra-special things in our lives from day to day to remind us of how fond he is of us. Yes, we are the apple of his eye!
He has given us unconditional love, forgiveness, security, etc. But, once again, I want to remind us of the simple things he has given us. These things also show his love for us. For instance, the tiny butterfly fluttering in the summer breeze, or fluff...

The need for a saviour and the need for christians to be truth seekers

Posted by IsabeJames on Monday, July 26, 2010,

I have access to God because Jesus, the all-loving all-compassionate God cared enough about me to die for me. By doing so He paid the price for all the wrongs I would or could do in my life along with the r...est of humanity. He offers salvation for free to all men and is gracious enough to tell us in plan language how to get it; Repent, be baptized and then you can receive the Holy Spirit.

If I might use a very crass analogy, imagine winning the jackpot in Powerball. The fact that you paid fo...

Putting God First

Posted by IsabeJames on Monday, July 26, 2010,
when God asked
Abraham to offer his son as a burnt offering, Abraham obeyed. And
therein rests the secret of Abraham's friendship with God:
obedience. No matter the cost, Abraham was ready to obey, because
he recognized that his friend was also first and foremost his
Lord.

Incredible, Invisible

Incredible, Invisible

By faith we understand ... that what is seen was not made out of
what was visibled. Hebrews 11:3

If you wanted people to think you were a complete nut, there was
an easy way to do it in the 19th century: simply urge people to
wash their hands. Back then, the theory that germs - bacteria too
small to see with the naked eye - could exist was considered
preposterous. Doctors routinely went from the autopsy room to the
delivery room without so much as a drop of water. Oliver...

your eyes

Posted by IsabeJames on Saturday, July 24, 2010,
Proverbs 3: 5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and
lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge
him, and he will make your paths straight." When you trust in
yourself, you are like a blind person slowly tapping his way
along with a cane. But when you rely on the Lord, you're free to
allow Him to be your eyes. He can see far beyond what you can.
And human and God develop an intimate bond.

Not your will, but HIS

Posted by IsabeJames on Friday, July 23, 2010,

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe
that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24

"The Mystery of Prayer" was the theme of a Newsweek magazine
article a few years ago. A woman mentioned in the article had
prayed unsuccessfully to win the lottery, but when she prayed for
a sister who needed a kidney transplant, God answered her prayer.

Even an unbelieving world knows, instinctively, that asking God
to win the lottery is fruitless. They know that the Lord...

Deliberately

Deliberately

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone
who comes to him must believe. Hebrews 11:6

Faith must have an object of its attention. This verse states
that " ...anyone who comes to him must believe." So what are you
to believe? The proper object of faith is God. It is crucial that
you believe that "he exists and that he rewards those who
earnestly seek him." (Hebrews 11:6b) But when you seek the Lord,
a casual glance in his direction is hardly sufficient.

The begining of "The voice of Truth Minitries "

Isabel I live in Oxdrift my passion is the word of God and Bible studies. I love to encourage others to read the Bible and to share their personal testimony. I first started to read my Bible (which was a gift from a friend) back in 1982. After several weeks of reading this precious book I became aware how real the people were and I started to became more and more fascinated about the wonderful living scenes, their personalities and their lives were so real that I couldn't put my Bible down. The more I read the more I felt real freedom in my life, wonderful things unfolded day by day such as healings, miracles and magnificent experiences. First time in my life fear disappear, my kidneys were totally healed, peace and joy flooded my life. In April 15, 2003, after seeking and praying for several weeks I met our precious saviour who baptized me with His presence, fire fall on me it touched the top of my head and ever so gently travel through my body and left at the end of my toes, this was such a phenomenal experience that my life was for ever change. Jesus became my passionate friend who has never fail me, He has always been there for me through all these years. Recently He call me to start "The voice of Truth Minitries" I love to share my passion for the work of God with friends and I am thankful for those who stand with me to make this Ministry a reality.
